Among the candidates to be nominated at the convention will be 17 electors pledged to vote for the Presidential ticket of the Green
Party of the United States. GPUS nominated Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente for President and Vice President at its convention July 10-13 in Chicago.

Under Michigan law, GPMI cannot participate in the primary election on Tuesday, August 5. Instead, Greens must nominate
candidates for the November 4 general election at a state convention and local or district caucuses held by August 5.

Greens from Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties are planning a joint three-county caucus. The date, time, and place are to
be announced soon. For updates, please contact Derek Grigsby dereknjck@yahoo.com
